Anyone know a quick fix for this? Filled her up, gauge went to full, after 100 miles gauge still showed full - funny, i thought. After 175 miles warning light flickers on (hmm, that still works then). Needle goes up & down when I turn on & off but when powers on stays permanently up (dream on misses). It's not an essential fix but it is a bit annoying! Any ideas out there?
If it ain't broke.......just tinker with it a little anyway!
you may have a short on the feed wire to the gauge,or a short in the sender unit
I had that problem on mine the other week, just unplugged the electrical connector under the tank and plugged it back in and it all seem to work again!
Don't know if it works on a float system, but check its not blocked up with crud in the tank maybe?

Thanks for the advice/suggestions guys. Hopefully the 'unplug and plug back in' will do the job. I don't mind hammers and spanners but usually end up getting my wires crossed with electrics! :o Hope to have time this weekend between buying a tree, wrapping presents, cleaning bike and car, prepping car for MOT (what a stupid time of year for an MOT) and ferrying kids around Gloucestershire.
