Today i hurd the deverstating sound of my fazer hiting tho floor after the wind blow it over. i was nealy cring to be honest. there are scuffs on the crankcase the barend and the upper pannal all easy fixed with sand paper and paint but the bike feel as if the bars are twisted slighty not sure tho and the thortal is sticking dose anu 1 have any ideas what could of corse that the throttol stick after a fall

If it fell onto the twistgrip side the impact on the end of the handle bar may have deformed the end slightly. That could cause the throttle to stick.
Or the bar-end weight may now be rubbing on the end of the twist grip. you could remove the weight and see if the throttle still sticks.

I took it apart at work and found it had egg shaped the end of the bar so i taped it back to shape witcj fixed it :-)

I found the wind to be a pain in the arse this weekend, I put it down to john smiths and dirty usa chicken...

My old man had both his beemers parked in the drive and the wind blew 1 over on top of the other. Heart breaking times!

I put mine on a sidestand in the first gear. It survived a storm with no problems once I got caught by one. Even without removing 50 liter topbox. Was your on ceterstand, or the sidestand when it fell?

It was in side stand and was blowin on to offside

I was expecting 80mph winds in Edinburgh and Lothian's, put bike on the side stand and then place a very heavy paving slab that had been cut, survived and no damage to the side stand either. Happy days

Sorry, what a pity. It is possible that you can buy a new handlebar at Yamaha not very expensive. The FZ1 ones were quite cheap I think.

I never thought the wind could do that, by the way. I'll keep it in mind.

It is admirable that you British love so much the motorcycles having that bad weather in your country. Cheers.

Last year it was -18 and  i was still on my 125 cant stop a real biker :-)
