4mm connector for headlight mod. - the swan fiend - 29-12-19 Hi lads. I’m going to do the twin headlights mod on my bike. Rather than chop the green wire and bypass the block, I want to add a extra wire from the female side of the connector block to make it look OEM. I’m struggling to find the 4mm female spade connector with locking tab that I need though. Has anyone got any ideas? I’ve been looking online for hours with no joy. Re: 4mm connector for headlight mod. - Jules-C - 29-12-19 I think I got terminals that fitted the connector block from these guys when I did the mod https://www.vehiclewiringproducts.co.uk/ Re: 4mm connector for headlight mod. - bandit - 29-12-19 Double check it's a 4 mm connector you require & not a 2.8 mm. It is definitely a 4mm terminal I need. I’ve just had a look on that site, couldn’t see one but I found a site earlier called Autosparks that do sell them. I just need to ring them when they re open and check that the terminal has the lock tab on. I’ll keep you posted. ? Re: 4mm connector for headlight mod. - bandit - 31-12-19 As they sell a cover for the terminal then it will have the lock tab. Re: 4mm connector for headlight mod. - the swan fiend - 01-01-20 Good point!! Thanks for that mate ? Re: 4mm connector for headlight mod. - Gnasher - 19-01-20 Remember when you do this mod you need to adjust the reflector, or you will blind on coming traffic. The right hand lamp reflector is high beam only doing this mod is a trade off as you will lose high beam performance to stop blinding on coming traffic. You're better off fitting some like Philips X-tremeUltinon LED bulbs not cheap but they work a treat, or you can try the cheaper GT Ultra I've not tried these myself.
