Who rebuilt my rear brake, focin lazy previous owner - joebloggs - 11-11-15 Had split the rear caliper prior to painting as suggested by someone on here, after looking at the pistons I noticed one was further out than the other, and after trying to move it I understood why, seized rear caliper syndrome. On the bench, gently rotating said piston reviled only one seal each side, someone obviously didn't think two seals were required :wall Tbh the pistons look fine and hopefully the remaining seal will be OK to reuse, just hope I can source some outer seals (dust?) Re: Who rebuilt my rear brake, focin lazy previous owner - crickleymal - 12-11-15 It's amazing what some people do just to save a few pence. Lucky you found it and nothing serious happened. Re: Who rebuilt my rear brake, focin lazy previous owner - joebloggs - 12-11-15 Found a set for £3.00 for both dust and piston seals, so £6.00 plus postage wont break the bank Re: Who rebuilt my rear brake, focin lazy previous owner - bootz76 - 12-11-15 Id go through the whole bike just in case they f Re: Who rebuilt my rear brake, focin lazy previous owner - joebloggs - 12-11-15 (12-11-15, 05:15 PM)bootz76 link Wrote: Id go through the whole bike just in case they f Found two dust seals missing from the rising rate link and one spacer/washer from the swingarm pivot.
