exup valve wanted - donkey - 22-10-15 hi has any one got exup valve to fit my gen 1 fazer 1000 cheers Re: exup valve wanted - b1k3rdude - 22-10-15 What's wrong with the existing one? if its bent but not too bent it can be bent back - just use the soft mallet and a veriable speed drill technique. Re: exup valve wanted - donkey - 24-10-15 worn down one end and rattling tits of so still looking for one Re: exup valve wanted - Exupnut - 24-10-15 RMT1983 has one Re: exup valve wanted - unfazed - 24-10-15 (24-10-15, 11:36 AM)donkey link Wrote: worn down one end and rattling tits of so still looking for oneTake it to a machine shop, have it built up or a bush made up to suit the wear Re: exup valve wanted - b1k3rdude - 25-10-15 (24-10-15, 01:31 PM)unfazed link Wrote: Take it to a machine shop, have it built up or a bush made up to suit the wearIMHO, getting a phosphor-bronze bush made up would only work if the wear on the shaft of the valve is even. Re: exup valve wanted - unfazed - 25-10-15 Machine shop could regrind the end to make it round if necessary Re: exup valve wanted - b1k3rdude - 25-10-15 (25-10-15, 07:58 PM)unfazed link Wrote: Machine shop could regrind the end to make it round if necessaryAh yes, forgot about that. The only issue there is would they be able to re-harden the surface afterwards..? (assuming the ends aren't hardened all the way through) Re: exup valve wanted - unfazed - 25-10-15 Heat it well and let it cool in soot will harden it ![]() |
