Removing heated grips - slimwilly - 07-06-14 So i have some replacement handlebars, the mechanical fixings will be ok to remove but the heated grips,,well i guess the are glued on, how do i go about getting them off without fecking them up? Re: Removing heated grips - Hamos - 08-06-14 brake cleaner, Work a screwdriver gently in just a little, then get some brake cleaner with the straw on the nossle and give it a good squirt. Keep trying to wiggle the grips and more brake cleaner and they will come off unharmed. Re: Removing heated grips - slimwilly - 08-06-14 Well i got the left hand side off,, its fucked, i thought it was just rubber, so i went prizing the rubber bit from the bars,,only to find it was on a hard plastic sleeve,, i prized that off and they came off,, They did only work on low heat so were on their way out,,i do have a pair of new ones here to go back on,,from the forum £50 if i remember.
