Starting - Jc72 - 07-01-13 My fazer has been standing for 2 1/2 years apart from new battery and oil and filter, should I justĀ chuck in some fresh petrol and hope for the best? Or any other tips? Re: Starting - xlewisbdx - 07-01-13 I'd change the petrol as it's been stood 2 1/2 years, chances are the bike wont respond well. Other than that I'd hit the start button. *fingers crossed* Re: Starting - red98 - 07-01-13 drain tank and carbs, also remove plugs and turn engine over a few times, this will empty combustion chambers and also circulate the oil....let us know how you get onĀ ![]() Re: Starting - griff86 - 07-01-13 Did you drain the carbs when you stored it? If not then they will probably need a strip down and clean as the fuel would of gone off in the bowls. Re: Starting - darrsi - 07-01-13 It really should have a general service, including a rad flush as well. Was it garaged or not, that can be a major difference as well with things like possibly seized brakes? Re: Starting - Jc72 - 07-01-13 Carbs not drained , and been in a nice dry garage, I've got hel stainless brake lines ready to go on, as I'm hopefully going to Poland in may on it |
