The phone app will almost definitely do retries until it gets a success response from the server. A web browser is much more consistent in it's error code handling and will actually tell you when things are going wrong rather than hide you from it. It's just the way the tapatalk app has been coded. That is also the reason why the tapatalk app can sometimes duplicate post. It's coded differently.
