Re: FZS600 Tail conversion / Swaps (Sports bike grafted)? - wraith600 - 13-09-17 i run 120/70 front and 190/55 rear but mine is set for handling Re: FZS600 Tail conversion / Swaps (Sports bike grafted)? - Disorderlypunk - 13-09-17 extended swingarms and fat tyres are only for looks destroys handling on any bike especially sports go for it on a vmax show bike and chops but wouldnt even consider it for a fazer i think it would look so wrong Re: FZS600 Tail conversion / Swaps (Sports bike grafted)? - F4celess - 13-09-17 (13-09-17, 02:34 PM)Disorderlypunk link Wrote: extended swingarms and fat tyres are only for looks A Fazer wouldn't warrant all the necessary blood, sweat and tears!? (plus even more tears afterwards, when it rides like chit, plus you go back to check the bank balance, to see how much you threw away on the project). ![]() Re: FZS600 Tail conversion / Swaps (Sports bike grafted)? - Disorderlypunk - 13-09-17 im throwing loads into mine but nowhere near that sort of money needed hell im having enough tears right now with my datatool alarm system spiked (cant disarm) damn things held together with the one set of security bits i cant find so its another couple of days to wait Re: FZS600 Tail conversion / Swaps (Sports bike grafted)? - F4celess - 13-09-17 (13-09-17, 04:51 PM)Disorderlypunk link Wrote: im throwing loads into mine but nowhere near that sort of money needed What kind of Bit is it? I picked up a 100 piece screwdriver bit set yesterday which has loads of security bits. Such as Stars and the ones with little pins in the centre. Was only a fiver (Bunnings diy) Re: FZS600 Tail conversion / Swaps (Sports bike grafted)? - Disorderlypunk - 13-09-17 its either a t10 or t12 with the pin hole got some ordered from ebay as i obviously cant take bike out to go fetch some didnt know bunnings were in uk thought they were only in australia im just thankfull the drinking session is in my village this weekend or i would be screwed Re: FZS600 Tail conversion / Swaps (Sports bike grafted)? - F4celess - 13-09-17 Yeah, Bunnings are taking over Homebase. Two Homebase stores in my town have been shutdown, gutted, and now Bunnings. They even have a barbeque running every weekend out the front (keeping in line with their Australian store habits). Alot of new and interesting stuff stocked. Note I have absolutely zero affiliation with any of these DIY stores mentioned however. Re: FZS600 Tail conversion / Swaps (Sports bike grafted)? - Disorderlypunk - 14-09-17 our homebase got turned into poundstretcher will happily trade in that crapshack for good tools and BBQ Re: FZS600 Tail conversion / Swaps (Sports bike grafted)? - F4celess - 14-09-17 (14-09-17, 12:58 AM)Disorderlypunk link Wrote: our homebase got turned into poundstretcher £stretcher! OUCH! What a waste! Turning that warehouse space into a skate park, or go-kart racing outfit, would be much more useful + lucrative. ![]() Have been quite impressed with Bunnings. Always come out satisfied I found what I wanted. Although walking around wearing a straw hat with corks on the end of strings, gets a bit distracting after a while! (joke) :rollin Re: FZS600 Tail conversion / Swaps (Sports bike grafted)? - F4celess - 14-09-17 After fitting the flush Powerbronze Undertray, Aluminium Tail tidy, LED indicators etc, I'm much more impressed with my refreshed, "sportier" Fazer rear end. Accentuated by the 40mm JackUp kit. Looking sharp! OK, so it's not going to look like a Ducati or R1 (from the rear) :lol, but this will keep me content, for a while. |
