My apologies. Just reread your posts. My 2005 Fazer 1000 has a different nut to the failed ones. I assume the mechanism for failure is a manufacturing fault with the original nut.? Has there been any failures of the gearshaft threads?

Megawat - you need to fill out your avatar with the bike that you have and if it had said 1000 we could of said it was only the 600 that had the issue
