Re: Bar Mirrors... - fazersharp - 25-05-15 Heres a mock up of anan idea I have come up with these would be molded to the outside shape and would Velcro into position - a 2 minute job to fit Re: Bar Mirrors... - anutz - 25-05-15 hmmm......if that would work that would be nice... when you say mock up - is this computer stuff or an actual piece of kit you made/got? I don't think the bar end mirrors look the best, but i don't think they look bad either. Just got some cheap chinese EBAY ones to try out in case i didn't like them/they sucked but they are actually really good. Work well, can glance in them and NOT just see myself. Yeah. These look like the ones...??? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Golden-Anti-Glare-ATV-Motorcycle-bike-7-8-Handle-Bar-End-Rear-View-Side-Mirror-/291166086995?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item43cad9e753 Re: Bar Mirrors... - fazersharp - 25-05-15 (25-05-15, 10:53 AM)anutz link Wrote:hmmm......if that would work that would be nice...Computer mock up only im afraid. I should patent it. I even thought of adding a block under the mirror mount - between the mount and fairing to jack up the mirror which would help. I have got used to doing the "funky chicken" when I use the mirrors, and I am not that wide a chap anyway but the simple option for a better view is to fit 1000 mirrors as they are longer stems Re: Bar Mirrors... - anutz - 25-05-15 funky chicken.....thats a good way to describe it :lol Re: Bar Mirrors... - celticdog - 25-05-15 It's a difficult one, the old elbow in mirror problem. I've got the little disc mirrors fitted, not ideal but they give a good view of the road periphery. Re: Bar Mirrors... - anutz - 25-05-15 i ordered a set of those bar end ones off the ebay link - cheap enough for a gamble....and not horiffic looking....depending on your view point Re: Bar Mirrors... - fazersharp - 25-05-15 Those bar end ones looks like you have removed the OEM bar weights -- is that an issue, it would be better if that clamp on the mirrors went around the OEM bar ends without having to remove them to fit the mirrors Re: Bar Mirrors... - anutz - 25-05-15 i think u are correct on inspection..... Re: Bar Mirrors... - Nebuchernezzer - 26-05-15 The ones I got could probably clamp around a bar weight if the weight is the right diameter. The mirrors come clamped to a piece of aluminium with a bolt through it that you screw to the bars anyways. Just unclamp them off that and clamp them onto your weights (if they are the right diameter as mentioned before) I didn't have bar end weights, just caps so i just took them out and screwed in the ebay bar end mirrors. I've not noticed any bad vibes etc without weights anyways but i don't spend alot of time at one speed (commuting across city mostly) EDIT: yeah those cheapos off ebay are the same as what i have. |
