Now a chrome system made for the masses and the road, that's chavvy :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin [ Re: The cool bike thread...... - Gnasher - 11-04-20 This is chavvy ![]() Although still great looking bike Re: The cool bike thread...... - Dudeofrude - 11-04-20 (11-04-20, 03:45 PM)Gnasher link Wrote: [quote author=Dudeofrude link=topic=25530.msg312310#msg312310 date=1586615831] Four into one system were first used on the track and were always black and remained that way until stainless was introduced, as they were custom made from mid steel and just painted, nothing chavvy about them, that's how they were. Could have forgiven the black pipes, I just prefer stainless as it looks more aesthetic and less like you've got the hammerite out ?? Re: The cool bike thread...... - Gnasher - 11-04-20 I'll give you that :thumbup Black is how they were, track side. Common systems for the road at the time, Piper being one of the most common in the UK, was chrome but it was for the road and masses. Interestingly Kawasaki 80's sports bikes returned to what was called black chrome, looked great but didn't last long on the down tubes, real buggers to stop looking naff. Re: The cool bike thread...... - Dudeofrude - 12-04-20 Now this is a bit more my cup of tea... although let's not mention the end can ?? haha Re: The cool bike thread...... - Gnasher - 12-04-20 I can appreciate the work, but it does nothing for me I'm afraid. I've ridden a few, the one's I rode were awful, in just about every respect. But it was the only way to keep the rider from sliding off the back in what was WSBK/Prodie of it's day. |
