If its on the stock bars then its just a bolt that holds the bar end and screws into a fixed "nut" inside the bar. Just undo the bolt in the centre of the bar end and it should come off with it :)

I unscrewed the black nylon end and theres nowt else to unscrew! Only the hole the nylon end screws into!

Just realized you are on a Fazer 1000

Are they more like this; http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/R-G-RACING-BAR-END-WEIGHTS-SLIDERS-YAMAHA-YZF-R125-2008-2012-/160793050303?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts_13&hash=item2570033cbf

If so, then the thread is part of the bar end which should just unscrew?

AH, dead eye that makes sense, when the nylon end comes off its got 2 flats so obviously for a spanner to remove them, good man!

You're welcome :)

I'd done a little bit of research recently as I bought new bar ends for my Renthal bars - ended up using some Rawlplugs from B&Q to attach them ;)
