Went to Mega Motorcycle store today at Swindon, and there was a guy there with a 1991 FZR1000 EXUP, very clean and standard apart from the can. This is the model I had my big stack on, but I still love the looks of this bike. The owner let me have a sit on it, and I found I could reach the bars, but probably wouldn't be able to ride it far, still too much of a stretch for this buggered arm of mine.
He'd just picked it up from wherever, £1500, £120 to insure it, and not even on a classics policy! That's a lot of bike for very little dosh. I once had 180 mph on the clock on mine, he reckoned they held the record for the fastest top end on any mass produced bike until the first Hayabusa came along.

Love the old fzr 1000's. My dad had a black and red fzr 1000 genesis, pre exup, it was insane. That's the first bike I ever went on as a pillion. To be honest that's probably why I ended up owning a bike. haha! Complete animal of a machine, sounded lovely with a micron can on it.

Think it had the fastest production bike record until the zzr1100 came on the scene but I may be wrong, dad sold his about 7 years ago now. I'll see if I can find a picture.

Very true Noggy, have seen and done much more on the Fazers.
If your missus reads that last line of yours, I reckon you'll have a tear in your eye alright, and a pain in yer nuts!

She's far too dirty for foc-u, she even recycles her Tena Lady for foc sake & i used to like prawn crackers wi my chinky!!!!!


Anyway Nick i asked my only trusty garage today as it happens about doing my light electrics & their response was...we fuckin hate doin it coz its such a shit job to do tidy....but they'll do it...just as well coz I wouldn'tbe paying   them foc all for not doin it would i & a business that doesn't do business aint much of a foccin business
