Worst bike you have ever riden?

Actually, now you mention it, my mate had an sv650, and on the few occasions when I rode it I found it totally uninspiring, underpowered and it looked and sounded naff.

sv650 then. The worst bike ive ever ridden... still better than a car though

my old cx500 would qualify for both worst and best. it just didnt handle and weaved round the bends, but i bought it with 16000 on the clock and it died on 88000. just went on and on. a mate's buell didnt go down too well as the rake is so steep, it fell into bends too quick.

I found the Honda Varadero 1000 a truly awful bike that scared the sh*te out of me in high winds.
2nd would be the Honda CB250 I did 30k miles on in the early 90's. "Interesting" handling would be an understatement.

Honda CB50J it was a restricted 50cc 4 stroke, 5 speeds of slow the brakes were crap and it handled like a drunk fat bloke on roller skates

Got a P Reg GS 500 as a loner a couple of weeks ago. Scared the crap out of me and thought I'd end up pushing it back as it really disliked water and I got caught in a rainstorm. New respect for couriers that have to ride them.

I used to love the handling on my old cx500! Being a shaft drive with a v twin engine mounted sideways it certainly behaved 'interestingly' seemed to remember giving it a handfull of throttle coming out of a long right hander and the whole bike kinda twisted lol. The back wheel sort of dug in and felt like it was trying to overtake the front by laying on its side and coming underneath! Loads of torquesteer made me feel like I was cocking my arsecheek up to squeeze out a fart everytime I cracked the throttle open!

1250 Bandit was pretty nasty, tested an FZ6 when they first came out, totally useless bike, never been so glad to get back on the FZS. Had an ER5 courtesy bike once, that was horrible too.

a Harley sportster i had when mine was in for its second service the thing was brand new felt like it had wood for brakes no suspension wnd the gear box from a dumper truck

no bikes I have had have been " bad"...my least favourite was the zx9 c1 model. A bike which for me excelled at nothing. It was a sportsbike which was slower than the rest , it didnt handle that well, wasnt comfy, and didnt inspire me at all. I kept it for 3 months, which is a sad endictment for any bike I have had.The airbox howl was nice, but other than that I really regretted buying it. I had read a lot of reports about how good it was, but it was sluggish up to 6k, and did not have  a big top end. My gen1 fazer feels like twice the bike tbh.

Not ridden all that many but the worst would be an ER6F, then probably the Suzuki Vanvan I did my CBT on.  Best would be the Blackbird followed closely by the FZS

My worst bike has got to be a 1978 XS250, it was gutless, drank fuel like no tomorrow and the only way to get any speed was to thrash it within an inch of its life, I was going to buy it off a mate but in the end I bought a suzuki GT380

gt 380..that brings bk memories!!...had one briefly good bike stonking engine,  went and bought a kettle!!..now that did like fuel? ....dont think i ever saw 20mpg!!

Had to deliver a Harley 1340 Soft Tail Fat Boy to Paris and rather than trailering it and getting a return on the ferry for car and trailer, the cheapest option was to ride it over and fly back.  I'd ridden it very briefly taking it for an MoT over here but just over 300 miles on it was interesting to say the least.  90 miles before having to switch over to reserve and look for a filling station, the gearbox from a JCB, hope and pray brakes, the weirdest riding position ever and at anything over 50 you are the air brake so there is a distinct danger of dislocating your shoulders if you try to go any faster.  It pissed with rain for the last 120 miles and the rain runs down the tank, settles on your balls and no matter how good your waterproofs, are it comes through eventually.  I ended up riding with my feet on the pillion pegs, laying on the tank with my hands up above my head somewhere.

Never again and I've no idea why people like the things.

I have had some bad bikes in my time as well as good ones but the worst has to be a MZ250 a so called mate had one and raved about it so I bought one for a winter hack what a piece of shit it was so unreliable and it cost me £1400 in shares as I took the money out my account to buy it just as the Halifax was bought over and gave every one free shares that had over £150 in their account I only had £120 left in it

You must've had a bloody bad one mate - they top out quicker than all the other bikes of their years (both the R1 and the Blade - the GSX-R1000 was the first bike that beat it top speed wise), they do need the rears lifted to handle properly as they are rather flat as standard. They are a tad sluggish below 6k revs (compared to other big bore bikes), but use the revs properly and they bloody scream - flat out mine would pull away from my dad's FZ1 at any speeds over about 90mph, up to that point it was a dead heat but to be honest it came on tap properly in second at about 100!
