New chain and sprockets, any recommendations?

In the process of getting my 02 foxeye roadworthy again after its been sitting rusting in a garage for 6 years the chain is shot lol but i think the rear sprocket is ok what do you think? no idea what condition the front sprocket is like yet. DID X-ring chains seem to be highly recommended any other brands worth a try?. the bike is a total mess and its gonna cost me a small fortune to get it back on the road so want to do as much of the work myself.

Personally, Id change the sprockets as path of the course. Ive got DID X-Ring on mine, about £80 from busters on ebay

How about this kit? Are the gold ones better or is it just the colour thats different?

I saw your pictures it does look nice, would look great on mine as its yellow , so is the gold chain better quality (heavier duty) than the one i posted? to be honest im not gonna be using the fazer a huge amount just wanna get it running for now without having to sell a vital organ

Yeah DID X-Ring chain with a split link and JT sprockets.
Had gold ones before, personally I never noticed a difference except the colour but I might be wrong.
Just a couple of observations, firstly, see if M&P are doing anything, although I think there the same company, M&P seem to ship next day but busters took nearly a week, but supplied tracking info once it was sent and arrived next day. Secondly, if the chain is that bad, while the wheel is out, it might be worth investing in a new set of cush drive rubbers as well.

The gold is literally just a colour thing, but the heavy duty definitely lasts longer, no need for super heavy duty though.
I think you mean soft link rather than split link.
I've changed my cush drive rubbers, but if you don't thrash the bike you don't really need to, the one's i replaced didn't look too much different to the new one's, they're quite a solid rubber.

Yeah, soft link, my mistake. I only suggested the cush drive rubbers because its been sat a while, and rubber deteriates over time.
