Temp issue

Waitin for my bike to be fixed at the mo so I've been riding my dads bike to work I know it's mega hot but it's always ran so much hotter than mine any ideas why this maybe ?

is it a fazer too?
On a trip to france in 2007 or might have been 2005 it was bloody hot even when moving the air was hot and I could hardly grip the bars as I was sweating so much but the bike was fine even in traffic hardly had the fan come on so I would have thought a fazer 1000 could have coped ok with what the uk is enjoying at the mo??

Yep a fazer too mines a 2003 and his is a 2004
