It cannot be true  :look :

AbstractThe aim of the present study was to evaluate the relationship between motorcycling and erectile dysfunction (ED). We investigated the relationship between motorcycling and erectile function using the 5-items version of the International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF5) in 234 motorcyclists (response rate 75%) and 752 healthy controls (response rate 66%). In all, 161 (69%) of 234 motorcyclists were diagnosed as ED based on IIEF5. The prevalence of ED in the motorcycle group increased by age as: 58, 63, 76 and 93%, for motorcyclists in 20-29, 30-39, 40-49 and 50-59 years, respectively. There was a significant difference in the prevalence of ED between the motorcycle group and the control group in all age groups. On stepwise logistic regression analysis, motorcycling was the strongest risk factor for ED. Although the severity of ED in motorcyclists was not so severe, motorcycling may be one of risk factors for ED.
AbstractRecently, the association between motorcycling and erectile dysfunction (ED) has been reported. Also, lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) were reported to be associated with ED. The aim of this study is to evaluate the association of ED with LUTS in motorcyclists. We investigated the prevalence and the status of ED using a 5-item version of the International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF-5) in 150 motorcyclists. ED was diagnosed when the IIEF-5 score was less than 17. The International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS) was also applied, and the relationship between IIEF-5 and IPSS was evaluated. Of the 150 motorcyclists, 37 (25%) had ED, and 31 (21%) had moderate or severe symptoms of LUTS (IPSS >or=8). The IIEF-5 was significantly associated with the severity of IPSS (P=0.002) and age (P<0.0001). The IIEF-5 was also significantly associated with the scores of both voiding (P<0.0001) and storage symptoms (P=0.001). On stepwise logistic regression analysis, age and storage symptoms are independent risk factors for ED in motorcyclists. LUTS seemed to be associated with ED in motorcyclists.

what part of riding a motorcycle would cause ED? the cold? vibration? or maybe riding a motorcycle can be better than sex?

Probably they way you sit on it, same as a bicycle seat.

I can well believe we're at higher risk. The main reason I switched from my previous bike was that the twin cylinder machine was trying to purée my nads.
Even after an hour on the Fazer my groin feels slightly numb from the vibration and saddle pressure. The sensation passes after 10 minutes and there hasn't (yet) been any permanent problem, however I only average an hour a day on the bike, those who ride for a living may have noticed more symptoms.

I've started getting problems. It gets sort of stiff, and throbbing. A massage by a girl helps, but only temporarily. Then it starts again. Heard that surgical removal is the only permanent solution.

With this in mind, do you think the type of motorcycle was logged in this survey?
I mean is sitting on your arse on a Harley, your taint on a Fazer, or your bollocks on a 'busa worse?

Also, how are they sure it's down to the bikes? I've had a think about this (as a bloke in my 40's), and reckon that it's more due to boredom than biking. Bikers are by nature adventurous, not happy to do the same thing day in day out for life, right? So by the time you're my age the vanilla thing just doesn't work any more.
Personally if Mrs SD doesn't dress up as Miss Whiplash, clamp my nipples with live jump leads and wrap me in clingfilm she's not getting her portion tonight!

I used to have a GSXR SRAD, which made every pothole feel like a punch in the plums.
