I've seen and heard a small pulsejet running and it's ear splitting, they get white hot in seconds, that thing must be lethal.....

Downside is valved pulsejets are very unreliable as the reed valves work so fast under so much pressure.

There was a programme on cable about jet bikes.  Jay Leno has one.  It's just like a helicopter engine.   Would love to have a go on one of those.   Carbon brakes and a drag shoot would be necessary I think.
