Spark plugs CR8E vs CR9E

What are the differences?  Which ones to pick?  Hmm?

The 8 is what is called a hotter plug and recommended for the cooler climate of northern Europe. The 9 is a colder plug and recommended for the warmer climate of southern Europe.
The colder plugs conduct the heat away from the plug faster than the hotter plugs.
Cr8e is the recommended plug for UK and Ireland

Ignoring the temperature benefits, I wonder if there's a marked performance difference?

Short answer NO.
Never noticed a difference in the 8 and 9, but did notice an improvement using the EIX over the standard  E versions

Interesting, well I have some CR9EIX's brand new sitting unused, I'll chuck those in with the rebuild then

I'm in "Central Europe" officially. CR9E run a bit darker than perfect - like mixture is bad, or plugs are too cold. Guess CR8E would be better. I've used CR8E until now, but this winter mechanic put CR9E (even though I told him to put CR8E). Guess he thought 9s are better for our climate. 36 degrees celsious here last week.
