GEN 1 FAZER 1000.fairing infills cracked.

Hi all,I have just noticed after owning the bike for about 7 months the fairing infill panels are cracked around the screw mounting holes,both sides.I was talking to a fellow owner at local bike meet tuesday night and he says it is a common thing on these.if it is common anybody else have same problem and if so is there anyway of preventing happening again.I have seen a few on ebay for sale in good condition,but I bet new ones are silly money,but not as silly as carbon ones.would appreciate any advice.

get old inner tube cut two washers and place under the mount this stops the screw pulling to far down and has worked for me over the years

another tip f they have already started to crack to stop the spread remove invert and get some superglue with activater and some household tissue
cut strips and soak in super glue place along crack spray actyivater this has also worked beware the actvater goes white so mask up to be sure of confined work area

I reinforced a small area on mine at the underside with fibreglass/resin......similar idea to Luke I suppose.
I also have a rubber washer on topside, beneath screwhead.

Check price on New ones as they didn't used to be that bad.

I had 1 crack and replaced I now use rubber washer under and plastic washer on top.
