Seems Lancashire plod are also aware that it's not perverting the course of justice, nor for that matter obstructing the police:

They only handed out the tickets because its over and done with at the roadside in minutes, and its more a message to other road users than being about the fine, hence why it was published I'm several tabloids(free advertising?).

To process that many people for perverting the course of justice would mean several hours of painstaking paperwork per driver, not an easy task!

The offence still remains the same chaps, there's just several ways the cops can deal with it.

what foccin idiot admits to warning other motorists about a speed trap!!!!!!!!

plod 'why did you flash your lights'
me ' it was aunty ethel/uncle bob'

don't admit nuffin!

i thought you can only pervert the course of justice once you are under caution/oath

idgas either way but i'm sure a good solicitor (never actually met one of them) could rip it to pieces.

Well the 14 days are up? that's when 4 of us were doing the "Yorkshire TT" came up a bit of a hill round a slight bend straight into the lens of a "safety camara van" we  MAYBE were just over the 67mph (60+10%+1) limit, however none of us has heard anything so looks like for some reason or other we got away with it, if you look at my earlier reply, this is when I got the idea of covering the plate up. last year I got done for 79 in a 70.
