Inside bikes Carole Nash
« on: 14 June 2013, 10:49:54 pm »
Just been looking at this website, lots of good info on here, can vouch for the "routes to ride" number 10, (right on my doorstep) The Portsoy Ice cream shop has very good ice cream, and The Fiddoch Side Inn is a very olde worlde kind of pub. If there are more than 10 in your group it would fill the place, and the old man that runs the place is a total classic. Also the road from Banff to Huntly has a good mix of long straights and twisties mixed into one. If you are in the area give it a blast.
Whats your opinions of your local rideouts.

Robby boy, what website are you on about mate? Put a link up please. Not been to Banff in 25 years, and never on a bike. I might pop up when the midge season dies down  :lol . Pop along to Dingwall for some Dunky haggis whilst I'm there!

Not sure how Blandford to Weymouth qualifies as South East...?
Only one route in my area (Oxfordshire/Gloucestershire) - might have to do something about that  :)

Yeah, I know Fizzy. But I've found some good roads down here too. Just need to put together some good routes.

Sorry for not putting up the link  adeejaysdelight. And thanks for doing it Buzz.

There are some nice rides mentioned in the link but there are lots of great roads not mentioned.

I agree Rob. I like the comments on Dumfries and Galloway being a forgotten place, there are loads of great roads and places to visit here without being a lemmon  :)

Done this and the Achnasheen/Dornie one recently. I would modify the Inverness one to miss out the complete loop of Loch Ness and just go down the East side of the Loch (A82), keep going at Fort Augustus and turn off at Invergarry and rejoin A82 at Invermoriston and back to Drumnadrochit.
