Numb Bum

So, how do we beat the dreaded numb bum - 250 miles on a Fazer has not been pleasant today. Are those gel seat covers actually a useful investment or are they a cop out?

You just have to face the fact that its nothing to do with the bike and just the passage of time catching up with you - I find stopping every 200 miles and partaking in motorway service station aerobics helps.

I have also perfected the on bike stand and stretch - however it seems to alarm cagers when done whilst overtaking on the autobahn !

Padded cycling shorts help a little. And ponksters 'on peg gymnastics' aleviate some of the aches and pains a little too.

I was stopping every hour, and I did so many peg stand moves I thought I could enter the Olympics for it. Oh well, just gonna have to limit how far I go each stint.
