scratches on visor and Matt lid
« on: 14 May 2013, 06:31:26 pm »
There was an old topic on this (http://foc-u.co.uk/index.php?action=post;topic=597.0;last_msg=3428) but I wondered if there was any new wisdom ?

I'm thinking plastic polish for the visor but I don't actually notice it that much as it's in my peripheral vision.

I'm just cheesed off cos it's only a few months old.

Very low speed spill.  I don't believe the safety of the lid is compromised.  If it is,it's my own fault and I can live with that.

I got a great deal on a shark vision -r helmet a few months back, 3rd time wearing it I had an off and did this to it.

Still wear it mind, scratches are starting to annoy me so will be replacing the visor but it still gives better vision in that condition than the Duchini lid I had before.

Have the helmet checked just in case and replace the visor as they look deep

Many years ago you could get small marks out with toothpaste but I think they were made out of perspex then and now I think it's polycarbonate, you could try but I think it may leave a matt finish, then you would get an idea of what riding in smog was like?
