Clock bracket
« on: 17 April 2013, 03:10:57 pm »
Afternoon all, anyone got any tales of wisdom (or something for sale) re mounting of the stock clocks? I'm removing the front fairing to fit twin lights and screen and just remembered the clocks have to live somewhere! lol

Any help appreciated.

I made one from a strip of 2-3mm and about 2" wide aluminum drilled hole for 2 of the nuts on the back of the clocks dont need one for the top as it is very solid no vibes.Drilled a hole on each end and mounted to my twin light bracket.Sprayed the hole lot black including front and back of clocks.

Without the flyscreen fitted you can just see the bracket i made.

You have to invent - tidy looking bike Keno, I am not a fan of twin headlights but the work looks good.

Not a great fan myself, but had no choice as the front and side of the bike was trashed after a kind lady pulled out in front of me and i left my imprint in the side of her nice car a couple of years ago.. >:
First accident in over 30 years riding.I ride everyday in any weather, finding lately the roads are full of numptys who pass there driving test and think its a ticket to drive like arseholes.. :moon

Just have a good think of the way you want it and make sure you get your measurements right.
Took me about a hour to make the bracket and 3 coats of black spray paint on the bracket and clocks.
Plus i can change the angle of the clocks by loosening the nuts on the fork light brackets and moving to the angle that suits me best.
