Stupid Firefox

  I was dumb enough to download a Mozilla prog the other day and of course it brought along a whole load of crap with it -aka 'Ask' toolbar, Mozilla search engine etc. I've managed to tidy things up but my Firefox browser has aquired the annoying habit of opening an 'Options Window' tab as well as my homepage tab  everytime I launch firefox and everytime I open a new tab another Options Window tab appears.
 I've tried going through the 'options' to stop it doing this but can find nothing, any ideas anyone?
I might use IE8 if this keeps up.

Uninstall and re-install and don't hit next without reading the bit first.

Install Google Chrome, I used firefox for a few years until it got overweight. And read before you click next

 It's their fault because ironically the damned Options Window tab doesn't give u the option of stopping it self-launching!
