Its a tank off on the 2001 model anyway i know that much, well i suppose you could prob take the front bolt off by the handlebars & pivot an empty tank on its hinges by about 45 degrees & maybe get the filter out but after today i'd say just take the tank off completely.
First take off the front tank bolt.
Pivot the tank up about 30 degrees.
I had one electrical connection to disconnect using my fingers, just pulls out, think its the fuel gauge signal.
Then switch the fuel tap to off.
Then i had 1 fuel pipe to disconnect after releasing the quick release clip with needle nosed pliers.
Then i spilt a bit o fuel on my bike from said pipe before i blocked it up with a bit o kitchen roll like plugging a bleeding nose
.
Now you can take out the tank hinge retaining pin with an allen key & lift off the tank.
Access is now all yours!!!!
But can you get through the rubber cover??????????
Look at me passing off this info as my own,in reality i am but a tiny prawn in the fazer sea but im glad i gave it a try & its really not as hard as it sounds on the ipad & its thanks to the fazer elders, wise & spindly of leg are thee
