Bloodyhell its crisp out there
« on: 24 March 2013, 06:50:08 am »
Just took the dogs out for a run,6.15 am, not sure of the temp but its chilly.
In an hour a mate is calling round and we will get togged up and then we are visiting three golf courses to check out the rabbit population, shoot some if possible,
As today all the golf courses are closed and no persons on them.

Are you bolting with ferrets ? Lucky bugger if you are, great weather for bolting as most bunnies will be down their burrows sheltering. If you're snow has gone it will be the opposite as they will be out feeding after eating their own droppings while the snow is down.
My son has just started ferreting and has managed to amass quite a bit of ground and the local golf course. He also ferrets for Davy Lisett to help out with his dog training days, lucky wee bugger.
Good luck today and I hope you eat some of your quarry, or sell  :)

No, no ferrets, pity though,
we are just roaming around three local courses to see if any are showing, if the sun was out there would be loads.

We had a couple and saw a few more, i guess they are hungry, so are we, i have one in the oven now :b ,we eat what we shoot.

Top stuff. My boss wants me to get him a roe tomorrow and one for myself but I explained to him they are not in perfect condition because of the weather so I'll leave them just now.

Mmm, boiled rabbit then deep fried for a minute, lovely.
