Santander accomodation
« on: 10 March 2013, 11:21:25 am »
Hl everyone. Me and a mate are catching the ferry to santander in may arriving early evening. Though there are lots of places to stay l'm more concerned for the security of the bikes. I'm sure many of you guys have done the same trip so if anyone knows or can reccomend a cheap place in or around santander just for one night I'd be well chuffed. Cheers

Almost all of the hotels in Spain have off-road parking arrangements, many using their own underground car parks.  I use the Villa Pasiega in Hoznayo if you want a recommendation.

 :\    Guys ..

I have several Maps of Spain here .. plus Google Earth.

I'm buggered if I can find any reference to:    Posada Del Pas .. or Hozanyo  :'(  (see two posts)

Any chance the spellings are maybe off track ?  Better still can anyone put me onto the locations of these two places. Please.  I'm always on the look-out for good Pit Stops up North.

Munchos Grassy Arse  ;)      Polar Bear

Update:   OK .. I found Hozanyo .. on the E70

jump on the E70 west

That gives you plenty of choices within easy reach

San Vicente on the coast is pleasent enough if a little touristy

Or go to the end of the E70 at Unquera and head south on the N621

Its a cracking road . Panes and Potes give you plenty of kipping opportunities

Personal preference would be Potes , gateway to the Picos and a great little town

Hi we have stayed at this address twice now ,about 17 miles from Ferry port.
Nice biking area , secure indoor parking if needed , but they let us park in the entrance porch. nice familly , their daughter speaks english, around £20 per night .only warning is they eat late there !
