Nice!

Any plans for future mods? Clear indicator lenses, black screen, black forks, black swing arm, red silicone hoses?  ;)

It was this or a bandit ( i think i made the right choice getting the fazer )

No plans for it yet but i would like to get rid of them massive indicators, also want the double bubble screen.

Then a good clean and a touch up on the engine.

also i may need the rubber inlet manifold as they look a bit worn out.

The indicators do look a bit pants but I put clear lenses on mine and they look much better for a small cost compared to getting after market indicators.

I'm gonna buck the trend by saying that the indicators have 'Retro' appeal  8) , maybe that's my way of saying i cant be arsed changing them :D , i reckon in 5 years folks will be rushing to try source all the original bits, & i'll have them all in my Fazer museum aka the shed.

I also agree with chris though, you need to buy into our supreme 'Rad hose' group buy, the more the merrier!

Good choice  :) . Looks a good buy for the money.
Don't worry about a few cracks in the inlet rubbers. They all go like that and have to be really bad before they start to leak.
I see it has the standard mirrors on which some find o.k. but others find they are looking at their shoulders more than the view behind. The solution in that case is to fit mirrors intended for the 2002-2003 model which have a longer arm.
This is the place to come if you have any questions or concerns about the bike.
Safe riding.

yes i seen a few with the cracks mine are not that bad.

would you recommend changing the exhaust down pipes to stainless steel ones?

yes it does get on my nervous seeing my arms and tiny bit off the traffic be hide me, i will have to invest in them 2002 -2003 ones as i do like to use my mirrors a lot.

The bike is in pretty good nick for a 98 has the odd stone chip, marks and the only down side is the front panel on the side is cracked.  :(

The rad hoses will be £108 delivered or £124 delivered if you want the 16 stainless clips with them  ;)  If you get in on the group buy then you'll be one of only 11 people on the planet with them as no one currently makes a kit for the fzs 600  8)

General consensus seems to be that the standard down pipes are best for power although they dont usually last long before rusting away to nothing, that being said i do like the stainless pipes, much nicer looking & should last for ages, motad venom are one set, also 'sandys bike spares' do another set used by lots on the forum, i think you lose a bit of mid range power with the aftermarket stainless pipes but i doubt i'd notice too much as the fazer is well quick enough for me.

First of all. welcom and well wear. Nice bike. Take no notice of me, but personally I wouldn't fancy that big Renthal thingy on the handlebars. I have a set of those clear mini led ones on my bike and they are the poodles testicles. Only problem with mine is that they flash faster than the standard. You can fit a relay to slow them down to the standard, but I couldn't be arsed.

No worries, once the original sale has gone through then you'll be able to get kits direct from sfs but they'll be quite a bit more expensive than what the group buy price is.

PM me if you decide you can afford it though  8)

Was going to say, I got my clear indicator lenses from ebay, they came with the 4 orange bulbs and it took 5 minutes to change them all. :D

A few people have comment on the handle bars but I don't like the original ones. I may change the pad as it does look a bit ugly.

Nice bike I've always liked blue.

Call me stupid but have you and chris got the newer fazer as the front panel is diff to mine?

I've only just got in to big bikes, as I know more about the 125 bikes and scooters.

Regarding my exhaust it looks to be in good condition may need a coat off paint soon.

Thanks, ye, we've both got the "foxeye" model made from 2002 to the end of production in 2003. It was made to look like the fzs 1000 front end.

The original downpipes can rot like a bugger, give them a sand or wire brush to get all the surface crap off then get some black high temp paint on them and they'll last a lot longer  ;)

Blue is nice..but not as fast as say.....Silver  ;) ....that's why you never see any Blue bullets!!! :D

there's lots to see on the site, safety wise it's worth checking out the 'front sprocket nut saga' post.if you're bike still has the original down pipes then there's a good chance it still has the original 'not up to scratch' sprocket nut, basically there's a new, bigger nut that you can get for under a tenner & it will give you peace of mind, take a look at the post & all the details you need will be within the various comments.

I will take a look around on here too find the mods & cons about the bike.  :)
