Broughty Ferry
« on: 01 March 2013, 10:57:15 pm »
Hi I have been supporting Bob Servant independent candidate and feel a trip to Broughty Ferry could be fun its only 380 miles from my place, anyone else fancy it later in the summer?

I like the mans optimism, but where the hell is Boughty ferry ?  I thought it was a made up name.
If it's North of Watrord I'm lost.
Do you need a passport to get there? :rolleyes

Broughty Ferry is on the Firth of Tay a few miles east of Dundee. It's considered to be a bit posh by members of my family who live in Dundee.

When Alan Fluff Freeman broadcast his final Saturday show for the BBC in August 1978, I listened to it while I was on the beach at Broughty Ferry.

It would be a good destination for a ride out though. Fisherman's Tavern or the Royal Arch.

Bit far from Southampton I think.  Oh well, never mind  :(

Could be tempted perhaps :-).  Just a ride and some lunch and different route there and back ?

Simonm I suggest we take the M6 route there and cruise back the A1 / M1 route, but not to much liquid refreshment with lunch we do not want to have to stop for the loo. :lol

I was thinking a long week end job.
