Not today, but yesterday I was in Exeter and had an enjoyable ride up the A30 to Salisbury and then down the A36 to Portsmouth

Balanced the carbs on my 600 and took her for a ride. WOW, what a difference! She's now smooth as silk once more. I then went out for a quick 30 miles of twisties on the fz1>. Oh how I love my bikes

Went out into the peak and came across some guys learning to glide and ended back at the airfield where Derbyshire & Lancashire Gliding Club made me very welcome

They do gourp bookings minimum of 8 people if anyone is interested at £50 pp for evening flight (includes meal) or singular for £70. Could make the perfect end to a days blast around Derbyshire.

Fit a motobatt battery as my original battery was dying, the bike was getting reluctant to start and the battery soon gave up, even after a charge.
Have to agree with comments others have made about these batteries.....they seem to spin the engine faster than I can recall before but fitting was a little fiddly as the terminals weren't quite the same as the originals and a little bit of manipulation was required!

Got a puncture on the rear pulling into work this morning 


Splashed out on front and rear Pilot Road 3's to make up for it. That should do it for a while!

well started her up the first time since about September ! battery was flat
 but she started after about 5 seconds on the starter first time ,stailed a few times when the choke went in but ok
 
 got the 7K code but thats no biggy
next step charge the battery wash the mould of the gips ! and get an MOT !

 Went into my local bike shop to get some chain wax and there on the shelf was the line up of "motobatt" batteries so i had one of them too.so cleaned all that shit halfords motorbike chainlube ( do not buy that crap) off and fitted my new battery.chain still drying.

stripped off the front end and fitted a streetfighter fairing and lights and speedo mounts - had a cup of tea and pondered - took it all off and put it back to how it was as I didn't like the look !


I guess the only way to know is to try for real - looked good in photoshop mock ups!

Yes it, and to boot, I need to ride back to Uni through it tomorrow. 100 miles of cold and wet. And I have a stinker of a cold. So yup, jealous abuse time!
