Sorry to hear that mate, it was a lovely bike. Still at least you made it out in pretty much one piece. And my Dad wonders why I'm not a confident overtaker...too many fuckwits in the world too easily distracted and too many blind spots. Hope all goes well for you recovery wise.

Pulled the bike out remembered it was no longer taxed and that i had a broken finger on the left hand so wasn't able to even ride it if it was taxed. Doh.

fitted some (i have a spare set if anyones intrested) dipped panels

re anodized calipers for my bike

not my hand but the wifes

fitted extensions to nicks r1 front end conversion

all done with one hand as buggered me wrist

Had a lovely surprise today. My mate has taken my Fazer from his unit, in his van, for an MOT without telling me and it passed!!! He also paid for it, and the last MOT I had done on the VN last week and forgot to pay for!

Road tested on the way to work with new adjustable clutch lever, experienced, rain, hail, wind then sun all in about 20 minutes

Went to the Oval Motorcycle Centre for a maintenance course. Not sure if people on here know about it (for those outside London, maybe not so useful anyway), but essentially you rent a bench at the garage by the hour to work on your bike using their tools, bike lifts etc. It's decent rates and Matt (the mechanic who runs it) helps when you get stuck or need some advice

Anyway, as a relative Noob it was really good to get more information on the basic checks and work I can do. I'm definitely going to be looking to do more work on it from now on... Matt may be on here as he's a fellow Fazer owner, but I have to say, it was really useful. Learnt a lot, got to talk about bikes and as mine was the guinea pig for some of the work, I've now got a nice lubed chain and had my brakes checked

*technically I went last night, but I was too tired to post when I got home

Got to coleraine and took gloves off and had the shakes thatade me sit in the cafe for an hour
