Went to the start point of the Cancer Charity run, chatting to a few lads and was asked if I was marshaling the Charity run, I said not this time as they seemed to have enough marshals. A few minutes later I was handed a Blood Bike South Reflective Jacket and was told "there you are, your marshaling" Had some good fun around the coast roads of West Cork. :)
Definitely convinced the standard of car driving has dropped. :'(

Changed spark plugs NGK CR 8E as per manual, found ones fitted were NGK CR8 EIX Ridium. Are they a sporty alternative?
set up to attempt carb balancing.......wow them screws are definitely a ballache. Put that on pause till my trip to screwfix for long screwdriver.

I have always used CR8EIX I find that they last longer and seem to make the engine smoother.
Nothing wrong with the CR8E and many riders would not notice any difference other than the price.

the core on the EIX is needle thin. do they start like that or is it a strange way they wear

Thats the design, they are platinum based to give better spark and durability.

Thought I might get to test my new 2 piece waterproof over suit, heavy rain, got bike out, rain stops.  50 miles later get to work without a single drop of rain.  Enter the office, heavy rain starts again :)

Took it for it's MOT at one of my local Yamaha dealers. Passed with no problems! First time I've owned a bike old enough for an MOT since 1981 !!!! I forgot how much it was like waiting in the dentist waiting room LOL !

Finished work early , so took advantage of the sunny weather , and went for a 50 mile blast on the bike , nearly ran out of petrol , can't go  far as you think once the fuel light comes on , warm enough to wear the mesh jacket and summer gloves .

Went for a 70 mile ride around south Shropshire then towards Clee Hill (Ludlow direction) back through Bewdley Kidderminster finishing @ Streetbike,Halesowen. Rhonnda Red was surrounded by 4 police BMWs-the guys were out on a training ride & like myself called in for a drink & bite to eat. Beautiful weather & scenery-Road surfaces generally good.

Changed the oil and filter on the 1000, put the 600 tank cover on it to enable me to fit the tank bag without have to worry about marking the tank, checked coolant and tyre pressures and now its all ready for the Fridays 300 odd mile trip for the NW200 on Saturday. :)
