Hi Everyone!

Just had a very interesting conversation on the phone with David at sfs performance. He has recieved the box of hoses (thanks again dead eye) and will be in touch soon with a price for us so keep an eye on this thread over the next day or two. He said that they would only be able to replicate the 9 rubber hoses and not the metal parts too.

Please see update below!  :D

Cheers

Sounds promising! What colours are available? Do they have a site to see the colours on other kits?

*UPDATE*

Hey everyone,

This guy at sfs is a machine! haha. Anyway,

The kits will cost £100 each plus an £8 carriage cost to UK addresses (of which deadeye and his dudeness are not being charged) This is for the full 9 hose kit.

He is giving us a discount as it is a group buy so if you want a kit now is the time to say! He is also not charging us for any colour options, which would usually add to the price.

It will take four weeks to get the tooling made to make the kits which is as fast as they can do it, so we're looking at recieving the kits soon after that. He needs me to confirm with him that there are
at least ten of us before they make the tooling so please PM me to confirm you are going to buy a kit, the colour of the kit you want and your address so that I can pass this info onto him AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

There will be a tooling cost but i'm happy to pay for that provided it's not too much and If I can't afford it on my own then i'll only be asking for donations towards it so the price above will be all you have to pay. He would prefer a one off payment so we'll have to sort that amoungst ourselves instead of paying individually. I assume everyone can use paypal and i'd be happy to get people to pay me and then i'll pay the lump to them.

If you have any questions now is the time to ask them.

I know it's just over the £100 mark but it's as close as we can get it and I think it's damn good for the service and products we're getting.

Take care, hope to hear from you all soon.

Hi,

Their website is: http://www.sfsperformance.co.uk/?gclid=COL-y7_zxbUCFcLHtAodlGUAVA and has several colour options. there is an option for choosing colours on the home page   8)

If you can't see the colour you want then ask me and I can ask him  8)

Hey chris, good stuff,it's pricey but whats a hundred quid to look the dogs danglies, fazers want for nothing so they deserve a wee treat now & then.

I'll pm u again but just to put it out there again, i was one of the ones that agreed to let the organisers get a discount for their time,if thats a bit compliated to figure out then i dont mind sharing some of that tooling cost as you've done enough without forking out all that too.

Thanks

Cheers Noggy  8)

I think it's a great price for what it is and considering that kits for other bikes are around £130 to £150 which I imagine this kit will cost without the group buy discount. The guy is really nice and he's also not moved his business out to china like a lot of others so we're also supporting our own Country's economy  :D

Haha, red ones will only make your bike slower but that's your choice  :lol

I'm sure we can sort another form of payment but Paypal is preferred. Please PM me with your payment options and your address for posting to, this can be a work address so the wife doesn't get to the box before you  :lol

Hey everyone,

Still waiting to hear back from a couple of people but there have also been a couple dropped out of the group buy. Understandable and this post is in no way to point the finger, this post is to encourage people to spread the word. It would be a real shame not to get this order in.

If anyone else is interested or knows someone who might be but maybe hasn't seen this thread ie, new members, someone doing a project fighter or other project fzs600 or even someone who isn't on the forum then please get in touch and spread the word. I'm sure we'll get the numbers together but for those who want a kit then this is how you can help to make sure the order goes through.

Now is the time to get a kit if you are thinking about it as we are getting a great price/discount for them. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask me. If you decide to wait and see what the kits are like then you might wait a long time as if we can't get enough people then noone will get a kit and if we do and you decide to buy one then it will cost you quite a bit more. I know it's a lot of money for something which is essentially a "shiny bit" for your bike but why not treat yourself and your bike before the summer  ;)   8)

Thanks, and all the best,

Chris

I'll send on the dosh tomorrow ;) What's your paypal? PM it if you want. I don't see it as a cosmetic part. The aul Fazers are getting on in age a bit now so replacing the hoses makes sense. How many more do you need to make the 10?

Hey Mr dude,

PM sent.  ;)  We are currently 3 short of the ten minimum order and i'm waiting to hear back from 2 who said that they would be interested initially.

Also a very good point about the hoses getting on a bit. certainly won't hurt to replace/upgrade them  8)

Third post in a row...  :o  woops!

Anyway, I have now heard back from all ten who origionally showed interest in the group buy.

The bad news is that only 6 of us are still up for it. I've posted on a few other forums telling people about the group buy but might take a while to get anyone else that way but i'll keep trying. I'm happy to buy two kits which leaves us 3 kits down.  I know Fraser has said he'll buy two kits if needed so looks like that might be needed after all Mr Nog, if you're still up for it. This leaves us two kits short. Anyone got any other ideas??

If we got nine together I might be able to stretch to 3 kits and then try and sell them on after just to get the deal done but that'd really be stretching me, especially depending on what any extra tooling cost their might be..

I hope this all makes sense as i've just come off a nightshift.. haha  :z

All the best,

Chris

Don't panic yet! I'm sure a few more peps will be along shortly. There's a taster below for everyone but don't forget you can go for black ones if you don't fancy a colour

Those pipes sure look good Dude!!!

can't wait to see how much faster i go with them on.

im still go for 2 sets, i toyed with 3 but i cant stretch that far,if my girlfriend doesnt get her engagement ring because ive got a shed full of hoses then i'll be drinking through a hose when she's finished with me :'( , if i could justify to myself that it was a small money making opportunity to buy 3 sets then i would but i'd most likely just be getting back what i'd spent.

only trouble with waiting is that some of the current confirmed could well drop out by the time we get others.

fair play though we're mighty close.

WOW! Nice find Mr Dude, they look awesome!

Mr Nog, that is totally understandable and i'd be doing the same (ir selling them on, to forum members at least, at the price we are getting them) so hopefully after seeing that pic it'll inspire at least one more person to come forward!

I know this has all moved quite fast up to this point so just hoping we can get over this bump in the road!
