Greetings from the Philippines
« on: 04 February 2013, 04:46:31 am »
Hi guys!

Just a quick message to introduce myself. Retired Brit living on Cebu island in the Philippines. I am on my 2nd Gen1 Fazer! Love this particular one so much that I sold it after buying it new then bought it back four years later. Still runs like a dream!

Further to my last post - this is my bike which I should have included in my last post but not being Bill Gates have only just found the attachment option! Cheers!

Welcome, love the red and black colour combo! Take care, What are the roads out there like?  :)

It wouldn't be fun if it was easy, I just wish it wasn't this much fun.

Hi Chris! Not the greatest but there are some lovely places to ride nevertheless. Had my other Gen 1 in Thailand - now that is the place for riding. Incredible roads, particularly in the North, where it is like a tropical Switzerland. Could easily do 700 - 800 km days there - here you are doing well at a couple of 100! But the people here IMHO are just so much nicer so here I stay!! Cheers - Barry

Meeting nice people and being around nice people is always a good reason to stay somewhere. Haha, i'm lucky if there is enough road on this island (shetland) to do over 200 or 300 miles a day. haha! This website is definately the place to be if you need info on your bike and want to meet some nice people while you're at it. Take care.

It wouldn't be fun if it was easy, I just wish it wasn't this much fun.

I know exactly where you're coming from. I worked on the supply boats out of Lerwick and Sullom Voe many moons ago! Just about enough road to get your bike into 2nd gear and you're at the other end lol!!!!

Hahaha!! Small world isn't it! haha! It's a lovely place but ye, sometimes you do want the straights to be a bit longer or indeed straighter... haha!

It wouldn't be fun if it was easy, I just wish it wasn't this much fun.
