Wehay.

Cracked inlet rubbers would change the mixture and cause it go out of "spec" hence the possible fail.

Its a bit of a long shot to be honest! They must have had a slow week!

Ahh! Well until it effects my bike i shall not be to bothered, but when its a bit warmer/dryer i might invest in some self-amalgamating tape (plumbers tape) to cover the cracks & any possible leaks  :rolleyes :lol

Yeah I wouldnt worry so much. I was restoring a 2004 vespa which had 2 large cracks in the intake rubber, enough for me to get a screwdriver through, and that one popped and backfired like no tomorrow.

cracks in inle rubbers is a common problem on these bikes, the rubbers are very thick and it will be a long time before it affects the running of yor bike  ;)      more of an advisory than an MOT advisory  :)

they are very chunky and thick.......replaced mind last year as had big cracks, but when taking them off could see how thick they were, cracks were nowhere near to breaking through, had new ones so fitted them anyway....think i paid about £60/70 for very well made pattern parts which looked like they came from the original mould......at £70 thats £17.50 each so not too bad  :D
