Well I didn't get round to getting a picture of my bike, BUT I did take some pictures of what my Saturday was spent doing :P
I removed the downpipes, link pipe and end can from my old Fazer a couple of months ago shortly after its death in the hope that they could be restored. Now that I have the new bike, this became something work trying and to be fair, they weren't in the worse condition they could have been.
So after a couple of hours with some wet and dry (P400 / P600) and a lot of water / cleaning agents I got them cleaned up pretty well
I then decided to come in-doors to finish them off as the sun started to go down and it was getting rather cold. So after a further couple of hours with some polish and microfibre cloths I got them all nice and shiny again... mostly. There are unfortunately a lot of little scratches all over the metal due to the course-ness of the Wet & Dry but the steel wool just wasn't getting anywhere with removing the burnt on crap. Regardless, for all of about £10 worth of kit and a day of work I think they came up pretty damn well and saved myself a lot of money if I had gone to a business to get them restored.
My phone didn't do a fantastic job of the last photo as they are quite a bit nicer and shinier in real life :P
