Fuel tap
« on: 17 December 2012, 07:03:21 pm »
Hi all

Odd question, but is there a fuel tap on the FZS600? My 01 fazer says in the manual that there is 3.5 liters of fuel left in the tank when its indicating emtpy (odd!) Is there a way to switch to reserve or is there none?

Ah, that's a bit stupid.

I'm assuming its just an on-off tap then?

The tap under the tank switches the flow on and off, but there is no reserve tank. The manual means that when the light comes on you have 3.5 litres left and this is the 'reserve'.

I've seen on/on taps before, they seem to work quite well, it's the off/off one's you need to be weary of.....  :lol

Remember to turn it back on when you've had the tank off during a service, you will get further that way  :lol
