I love all sorts of music, one minute I can listen to Prodigy, then the next album could be 16th century renaissance music by messers Byrd and Tallis and the next could Iron Maiden, depends on my mood really.
I sing in a choral society and love choral music.
If you like Queen try this, some of it is a bit heavy, but the adagio (slow movement) which is essentially "who wants to live for ever" is beautiful.

Try this too Morten Lauridsen - O Magnum Mysterium it's a choral piece and gives me goose bumps every time.
Another modern composer who does beautiful choral work is Eric Whitacre, check out his "virtual choir" performing "sleep" on Youtube.
A lot of film music is a good way to get into classical music, John Williams and John Barry have both written some lovely music for films.
