Every forum has the grammar nazi.
It kin be a royal pain, especially if all you want to do is put across a brief point.
And it gets lost in the nick picking of your grammar, I'm sure they feel like there being funny/clever however normal folk know otherwise ;-)

Where's UG when you need him.

One way round the grammar police is to add something to your signature. Such as "I'm dyslexic, so stop picking holes in my grammar you cnut"

You cant beat a good typo now and again.. Sometimes make for a more amusing read..
English is a complex language. No wonder we all make mistakes.

I used to use it till I moved over to firefox and it doesn't work now...

I try my hardest to avoid making mistakes because oddly, despite being shite at spelling and grammars, it really jars my reading when I spot it but I am able to ignore it if I can get the overall point of what is written.

yes...i heard that too, when speed reading we are just looking at first and last letters, the others can be mixed up and in some cases missing but we are still able to read the message

Well I am "Old school" and had it beaten into me from an early age. I still find it difficult to ignore and it seems to pervade modern communications. Perhaps a little OCD influence................................ or CDO as I prefer to call it as that is alphabetically in order.

The funniest typo I remember seeing was a job ad. in the Standard asking...............

"DO YOU HAVE THE ABILITY TO LOSE 5 SALES A DAY???"   :eek

The other says "Smell petrol?! I can't even smell my own name!"
