Seized rad guard screws....!

Any tips! bloody previous owner seriously neglected the bike and left it to corrode over / after winter, I am rectifying this, slowly, but I cannot remove the old rusty guard to fit the new one... 
 
HELP!
 
Do I drill them, try it with the bike hot, use a blow torch, what?!

Centre punch and drill 'em out.  That's what I had to do with mine.  Then stainless fittings for a trouble-free future.

I went to replace mine a few weeks ago and I thought I'd have to drill them out - they were rusty and seized solid. Before I started doing all that though, I tried my "Impact" Screwdriver with a good fitting pozi-bit. I hit the impact screwdriver as firmly as I dared with a steel hammer and to my utter amazement, they started to move. It still took a while to get them all the way out, but it did work.


Now replaced with S/Steel Allen Bolts.

Yeah, I think I will have to try an impact driver, if I can find it.
 
 Daren't move the rad too much at the mo. Gonna get some good penetrating fluid on there and try next time I'm back from a ride in daylight while it's all warmed up...

I use Plusgas....fecking brillant. My rad screws also seized, they were allen key bolts. i cut a slot in them for a big screwdriver and used Plusgas over a few days. worked a treat

if you do drill the heads off you might find that the remainder of the screw comes out easy once the pressure`s off.....good luck
