flat battery again
« on: 10 October 2012, 03:55:57 pm »
After fitting a new/secondhand controller for my Oxford heated grips I've had 2 flat batteries plumbed it in to what I thought was a switched fuse spare only to find out it was a constant live so now gonna put a inline switch on or take the fuse out when I'm not riding any other options??

I tapped into my headlight live, which only works when the ignition is on obviously, but have now ordered a relay for £1.99 on Ebay, saves a lot of strain on the electrical circuit. 4 wires, 1 Live to Battery, 1 Ignition live, such as headlight circuit or brake switch, 1 ground and the other for your Heated grips, simples!
