Just had my bike renewal 55 plate GEN1 .


5 yrs no claims age 40 parked in garage no security devices


Anyone want to hazard a guess TPF&T with £250 excess ??

Did you get a quote for fully comp.  Often not that much dearer for us oldies.

and can sometimes (bizzarely) be cheaper - the thinking being, that if you're buying fully comp you're a more responsible type, and hence a better risk.

insurance alters so much on things like post code, where its stored and even your job. (i pay extra because i am a traffic warden)

i used to pay 104 but i had 1 non fault knock off and they wrote the bike off. i didnt lose my no claims but because the bike was written off i had to change insurance. i now pay 300+
it jumped because of 1) job changed 2) bike is write off 3) i had a claim but i still have my no claims bonus.

but i would take a shot at 180

I got mine from Hastings for £89 this year after shopping around, Bennets renewal was close to £140, robbing sods!
