Hi im selling my other halra scooter and a potential buyer has asked me for the regards and vin number for a hpi check, I always thought you only need a ref number not the vin can someone clarify this so I dont loose the buyer :)

I think when you do an HPI check it gives you VIN/Chassis/Engine numbers so that you can check them, no one wants to buy a ringer. Think you just need the fee and Registration number to get an HPI, I thought these days you get instant report on your phone.

Im guessing the buyer hasnt seen the scooter yet..
Hes probably wanting the vin etc to check against the report to see if the numbers match before he commits.. Handy especially if he has a distance to travel to you too..
