one for our resident plod
« on: 29 August 2012, 12:53:31 pm »
godson is getting stopped on a more than regular basis.
he's got a runner 180 and often has a pillion. i'm guessing plod see 2 up scooter and no L plate and think 'AHA!'
now he's no angel, but last week he had several producers.
is there any way of finding out why he's being pulled so often (coming up as a marker on the PCN). or perhaps they're pulling 'with reasonble suspicion' hoping for a collar and not actually checking PCN.
either way he's getting mightily pissed off with it all and i fear that eventually he's going to say something that will get him in hot water.
any ideas

Me, I'd be making a complaint to the chief Constable. Might be counter productive, but satisfying

If he is getting pulled a lot then soon the police will get to know him.  If he is polite, explains the situation calmly and is doing no wrong then he will get a good reputation with the local plod and they will then know to leave him alone.

If he is being a little scrote (no Angel?) to them then he deserves to keep getting pulled over. ;)

PS - I'm not plod or any legal type of person

get him to drive round all night get as many producers as he can, the other`s will be logged as well,
then go down local station you go with him and get them proccesed one by one
the desk sergent will get pissed off and ask for them all make him do them one by one
then when finished ask if you can make a harrasment claim due to exessive actions by plod
worked for my young brother few yr ago
had a mate who was plod he told us to do it to get it stopped, he never got stopped for yrs after that

He could always carry his documents with him to save a bit of time and effort for everyone. Maybe the area he lives in has a lot of problems with nicked scooters causing havoc. I assume all plod who have given him producers are all new to him, I doubt 2  producers will be from the same person. Is it a big police force?

Similar thing happened to me when I was a lad. Working on the Railway I used to start/finish work at all sorts of odd hours. Got stopped loads of times till the local plod got to know the bike and me. Good to know they were interested in my welfare  :rolleyes

Getting stopped is good, if you're not doing anything wrong, hopefully if yer ped gets nicked they'll stop it?

I agree with Phil. Tuck his docs under the seat and then everyone's happy.
