Chain riveter/splitter advice

The time's come for me to change my chain and sprockets, the chain I've ordered has a soft link so I'm looking into buying a tool and have seen there are three main types (I don't wanna use two hammers):

Anyone got any advice which is best? I know there are two types of pin on the soft link, I'm going to ring up and ask what type comes with my chain when the shop opens.

I'd be a bit reluctant to use the last sort, it doesn't give you the same control over the riveting process. I use a G-clamp type and a set of vernier calipers to get the plate spacing the same as the rest of the chain... I'd have thought whacking the rivet with a lump hammer could result in a tight link.

Myself I get the old chain of with an angle grinder, and rivet up with the hammers vice grip etc. easy to loosen a tight chain witha bit of lateral force.
You payes yer money etc!

I have the DID type, sort of does the job, it isn't very good at splitting the chain an angle grinder is much better. It also feels flimsy when doing the rivets. Bit shite really.
