clutch lever problem on gen1
« on: 25 July 2012, 08:40:17 pm »
Hi,

Can anybody answer this one please?

I bought a hong kong originated coloured clutch lever, fitted it and it appears very loose and wobbly as if it is about to drop off.

i have checked the bolt and it is tight.

it is almost as if something is missing!

also gear changing is quite rough as if the clutch is not working properly.

the cable is ok as it is new.

any ideas please?

thanks

Tmation

Don't buy shit made in China  :lol

Seriously though it sound like the pivot point is loose and needs a spacer or shim, now refer to my first comment.

The one I got from bike-it came with a shim insert to fatten up the bolt as it passes through.
The China ones I have now had the right replacement bolt for it in the pack. So didn't need a shim.
