Hi

On the offside of my mk1 Fazer I've installed a direct replacement HID light with a solenoid dipping mechanism.

I had the same problem ... H4 Hid on the right (bright white) an the old H1 halogen on the left.

Solved it by buying an H1 HID from Singapore on Ebay but be warned - its probably not going to be a direct fit. There is a bulb-carrier on the left and you'll need to
figure out some way of holding the HID capsule in place so that its leads can connect to the ballast.

I used 15 layers of hi temp plastic from ready-meal oven containers. All cut to the same shape as the original bulb-holder but with a big hole in the middle. It was a bit fiddly but it works fine.

Hi
I used the back end of a 10 ML syringe body cut to the same length as the old bulb holder cut a slit down the one side to pass the wires.

and used the grommet that was fitted to the H1 HID pushed into the modifed Fazer rubber light cover.
